While in Milwaukee this weekend, I had the pleasure of staying at The Iron Horse Hotel. Across the canal from the Harley-Davidson Museum, The Iron Horse could be classified a museum as well.

Details of the original warehouse are incorporated throughout the hotel. The lobby and guest rooms are filled with great pieces of history that tell the story of industrial America and the hard work our ancestors performed to make this country what it is today. While paying homage to our hard-working past, The Iron Horse keeps it current by tapping into that ‘live hard, play hard’ mentality with its vintage motorcycle displays and rock-n-roll attitude.

  1. My friend Joan and I stayed here in May 2010 while in attendance at the Harley Davidson Women’s Motorcycling conference and thought it was fabulous!  The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable, and the food was wonderful! We will hopefully be back again next year for 2011 Women’s Motorcycle Conference and will definitely stay at this incredible piece of history!
